The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) operates a certification and labelling programme for seafood produced through responsible aquaculture practices that respect the environment, local communities, and people.
ASC continues to grow globally, with more than 2,500 certified farms worldwide and the ASC label now appearing on over 31,000 products. At our booth, we will introduce the new ASC Farm Standard and ASC Feed Standard, along with the newly refreshed ASC label, designed to be more consumer-friendly, recognisable, and approachable.

The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) is an international non-profit organisation which sets globally recognised standards for sustainable fishing and the seafood supply chain. Fisheries representing 20.6% of the world’s wild marine catch are engaged in its certification program.

Dignity in Work for All (DIWA) is comprised of multi-disciplined technical experts and advocates with decades of experience in human rights and sustainable development, labor and migration, social compliance and supply chain management. In collaboration with companies and organizations, DIWA promotes responsible sourcing, human rights due diligence, and the protection of migrant workers in the seafood industry. In 2016, Control Union acquired a shareholding in MacAlister Elliott and Partners (MEP), a leading fisheries and aquaculture consultancy with over 40 years experience. The Hong Kong Sustainable Seafood Coalition (HKSSC) is an industry-led coalition to mainstream sustainable seafood by enhancing traceability in the seafood supply chain and promoting responsible sourcing and consumption across Hong Kong, Macau, and the Asia-Pacific region. Buyer and seller members, including leading hotels and seafood suppliers, are dedicated to implementing the Coalition's Voluntary Code of Conduct on Responsible Fish and Seafood Sourcing.
In 2018, different sectors of the seafood industry came together to establish the HKSSC in Hong Kong, the global hub of seafood trade and consumption. Through catalysing collaborations among producers, investors, traders, hospitality, caterers, and consumers with expert groups, HKSSC actively seeks collective solutions and raises awareness of shared challenges of seafood sustainability, traceability, and illegal, unregulated and unreported (IUU) fishing.
