ASC Japan (Aquaculture Stewardship Council)

The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) operates a certification and labelling programme for seafood produced through responsible aquaculture practices that respect the environment, local communities, and people.
ASC continues to grow globally, with more than 2,500 certified farms worldwide and the ASC label now appearing on over 31,000 products. At our booth, we will introduce the new ASC Farm Standard and ASC Feed Standard, along with the newly refreshed ASC label, designed to be more consumer-friendly, recognisable, and approachable.

MSC Japan (Marine Stewardship Council)

The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) is an international non-profit organisation which sets globally recognised standards for sustainable fishing and the seafood supply chain. Fisheries representing 20.6% of the world’s wild marine catch are engaged in its certification program.

Dignity in Work for All (DIWA)

Dignity in Work for All (DIWA) is comprised of multi-disciplined technical experts and advocates with decades of experience in human rights and sustainable development, labor and migration, social compliance and supply chain management. In collaboration with companies and organizations, DIWA promotes responsible sourcing, human rights due diligence, and the protection of migrant workers in the seafood industry. At TSSS 2026, we will introduce our initiatives related to sustainable seafood and responsible supply chains. Please feel free to visit our booth.

The Global Seafood Alliance is an international, nonprofit trade association dedicated to advancing responsible seafood practices through education, advocacy and third-party assurances.
Through the development of its Best Aquaculture Practices and Best Seafood Practices certification programs, GSA has become the leading provider of assurances for wild and farmed seafood globally.

Seafood Legacy is a social enterprise that provides sustainable and responsible seafood consulting and platforming with the aim of passing on an abundance of seafood, a symbol of the connections between marine ecosystems, economy, and society to the next generation (legacy).
Japan, which used to focus on increasing the amount of catch and distribution of fish is now becoming a country where humans and the ocean coexist through sustainable and responsible seafood business.
As a pioneer of seafood sustainability in Japan, we accelerate the sustainable seafood movement to Asia and the world, with national and international companies, financial organizations, NGOs, and governments, by harnessing our global network and foremost expertise in Japan.
