Tulika Bansal
Tulika Bansal is Senior Adviser in the Human Rights, Business & Technology Department at the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR). For the past 12 years Tulika has advised multinational companies on n human rights and the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, including in the food and beverage, agriculture, fisheries, oil and gas and renewable energy sectors.
Since 2018 she has been leading DIHRs work on the business and human rights in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors. As part of this work, among others, she has led and contributed to studies on the human rights impacts in the Chilean salmon industry and small-scale fisheries in Bangladesh, developed tools on human rights in the fisheries sector, engaged with a wide range of stakeholders on the topic, and led trainings and workshops on the topic for companies, government actors and other actors.
Prior to joining DIHR Tulika worked in Thailand, India and the Netherlands on corporate accountability, child rights, labour rights and community impacts for NGOs and unions. She has an LLM in Public International from Leiden Law School, the Netherlands, where she is a guest lecturer on child rights and business. She is fluent in Dutch, English, Spanish and Hindi.
