He is committed to passing on sustainable and responsible fisheries and aquaculture as well as Japanese tempura culture to future generations. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology and a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University. Prior to the current position, he engaged in M&A advisory services at the investment banking division (Tokyo and New York) of Daiwa Securities SMBC (now Daiwa Securities), after which he founded a cross-border e-commerce company.

Born in China. Has worked as a sales representative for a Japanese seafood and food trading company and the Japanese subsidiary of a Norwegian salmon company. His main experience includes import/export, processing, and sales , as well as processing management of overseas factories as a local representative. Currently at Seafood Legacy, he is exploring and implementing various initiatives to optimize the use of domestic marine resources and to expand the spread of sustainable seafood by encouraging both end-user companies and producers. Maisie Pigeon is the Director of the Coalition for Fisheries Transparency, an international network of civil society organizations committed to improving data transparency in the fisheries sector. She oversees the Coalition's day-to-day work and works closely with the Secretariat staff, Steering Committee, and member organizations to develop strategies to improve fisheries transparency across the globe. Prior to joining the CFT, she spent over a decade working alongside governments and international organizations to promote initiatives to secure maritime spaces, encourage ocean governance, promote blue economic growth, and stabilize coastal communities in Sub-Saharan Africa and elsewhere. Maisie has provided consultation and research support to the Global Maritime Crime Programme at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the International Maritime Organization, and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and is a member of the International Board for the Fisheries Transparency Initiative (FiTI).

Sally Yozell

Sally Yozell is the Director of the Environmental Security Program at the Stimson Center, a research institution in Washington DC. Her research examines environmental factors which undermine the security of individuals and nations globally. Yozell leads a team who conducts research and develops strategies to combat IUU fishing, thwart illicit networks, and increase transparency along the seafood supply chain. Ms. Yozell also oversees the Climate and Ocean Risk Vulnerability Initiative, a program that builds resilience in coastal communities threatened by the climate crisis. Prior to joining Stimson, Yozell served as a Senior Advisor to U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry where she co-chaired the Presidential IUU Fishing and Seafood Fraud Task Force. She was the Director of Policy and Deputy Assistant Secretary at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, led marine programs at TNC, Battelle Memorial Institute and worked in the US Senate. She holds an MPA from Harvard University.

Hitoshi Fujita joined the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 1987. Patima Tungpuchaykul

Patima Tungpuchayakul created LPN in Thailand in 2004 with Sompong Srakaew. Patima's work proved of critical importance when LPN rescued about 2,000 captive and stranded fishermen from isolated Indonesian islands in 2014. The Associated Press supported the rescue and won a Pulitzer Prize for its innovative coverage. Since then, more fishermen have been rescued by LPN.

Garrett supports industry partners and collaborations to drive improvements and implement ongoing human rights due diligence. Garrett earned her undergraduate degree in International Studies from the University of San Francisco, focusing on peace and conflict. After working in global health and social impact, she earned her master’s in International Studies from the University of Washington, where she focused on resource security.

Enrique Alonso-Población

Enrique Alonso is responsible for managing SFP’s field programs that focus on wild-capture fisheries in Latin America and Southeast Asia. He leads global initiatives that promote improvements in small-scale fisheries and engages the seafood supply chain to foster policy change in national and regional fisheries, while supporting SFP's overall strategy for improvements in other fisheries.
Enrique is a social scientist with extensive experience in fisheries, both as a researcher and a practitioner. Prior to joining SFP, he worked as a Technical Advisor for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization’s (FAO) Regional Fisheries Livelihoods Program for South and Southeast Asia in Timor-Leste, and conducted consultancies for a number of international organizations, such as the FAO and the Secretariat of the Pacific Community. Before his current position, he led the Latin America Fisheries program at SFP. Enrique has a Ba is Sociology, an MSc in Coastal and Marine Sustainable Resource Management and a PhD in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of A Coruña in Spain.

Chris Ninnes was appointed CEO of the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) in October 2011.
Before joining the ASC, Chris was Deputy CEO and Director of Operations at the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) from 2006 to 2011, where he led the expansion of the MSC¹s technical and commercial work.
From 2003 to 2006 Chris was Vice President of MRAG Americas, which followed his appointment as Technical Director for MRAG Ltd from 1996 until 2002.
Chris worked for the UK Department for International Development from 1983 to 2002 where he advised on seafood industry development issues in Africa and the Caribbean. He has also been a professional inshore fisherman.

Tulika Bansal

Tulika Bansal is Senior Adviser in the Human Rights, Business & Technology Department at the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR). For the past 12 years Tulika has advised multinational companies on n human rights and the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, including in the food and beverage, agriculture, fisheries, oil and gas and renewable energy sectors.
Since 2018 she has been leading DIHRs work on the business and human rights in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors. As part of this work, among others, she has led and contributed to studies on the human rights impacts in the Chilean salmon industry and small-scale fisheries in Bangladesh, developed tools on human rights in the fisheries sector, engaged with a wide range of stakeholders on the topic, and led trainings and workshops on the topic for companies, government actors and other actors.
Prior to joining DIHR Tulika worked in Thailand, India and the Netherlands on corporate accountability, child rights, labour rights and community impacts for NGOs and unions. She has an LLM in Public International from Leiden Law School, the Netherlands, where she is a guest lecturer on child rights and business. She is fluent in Dutch, English, Spanish and Hindi.

Martin has been in the seafood sector for over 40 years. Since July 2019 he has been Managing Director of SeaBOS (Seafood Business for Ocean Stewardship) which is a collaborative venture between nine of the world’s largest seafood businesses, and the Stockholm Resilience Centre in Sweden. The aim of that collaboration is to lead a global transformation to sustainable seafood production and a healthy ocean. Martin has worked in various roles in seafood including from industry on the deck of boats and onshore office management, government, and academia. He holds a BSc from Victoria University of Wellington (NZ), a Graduate Diploma in Fisheries Technology from the Australian Maritime College, and is a passionate recreational angler.

Yuton Lee is the Project Lead of Taiwan's Oceans Project at Greenpeace East Asia. Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning network that acts to change attitudes and behavior, protect and conserve the environment, and promote peace. Ms. Lee leads a team that conducts research and investigation and develops strategies to combat IUU fishing, overfishing, and human rights abuses at sea. Her team works closely with Greenpeace offices in different regions and countries, including the United States and Southeast Asia, to promote sustainable fisheries. She also oversees the local ocean conservation campaign focusing on protecting marine biodiversity through Marine Protected Areas. Prior to joining Greenpeace, Ms. Lee served as a foreign service officer for 6+ years.

She has been the Chair of UN Global Compact Norway, and founding member of the UN Global Compact´s Ocean Stewardship Coalition, working with business, policy makers, science and the UN system to build awareness of the critical role of ocean stewardship in the 2030 Agenda.Prior to joining SeaBOS in January 2022, Wenche was Global Head of Sustainable Development in Cermaq Group; a management consultant in PwC, and a project manager in DNV GL, working on international renewable energy projects. Renee Perry

Renee Perry is the Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) at Culinary Collaborations LLC (CCL). Renee is a self proclaimed social justice advocate, who is passionate about everything from food safety and sustainability to corporate social responsibility, with the goal of making the world a better place for the industry at large. Renee joined CCL as Director of Food Safety & Quality Assurance and took the company on the path to successfully achieving BRCGS A&B v3 certification. CCL achieved an AA rating with zero non-conformances in three consecutive audits (2020, 2021,2022). Going beyond audits, Renee has transformed CCL into an engaged food safety and quality culture. Her success in the Food Safety & Quality industry did not go unnoticed and in 2021 she was awarded BRCGS Professional of the Year. Working with the Global Tuna Alliance, Renee intends to see all of CCL’s tuna resources fully sustainable and aligned with the goals set by the GTA.

Helen Packer leads the Seafood Stewardship Index at the World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA). The Seafood Stewardship Index assesses the 30 largest seafood companies for their contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Prior to WBA, Helen was the Sustainability Manager at Anova Food USA, a subsidiary company of Bumble Bee, where she contributed to the implementation of various environmental, social and traceability improvement projects in tuna supply chains. Helen holds a BSc in Marine Biology from Swansea University (UK), an MSc in Aquaculture and Marine Resource Management from Wageningen University (NL) and an interdisciplinary PhD from Dalhousie University (Canada).

Jo Raven

Jo leads the Thematic Research and Corporate Innovation team and has oversight of FAIRR’s technical research and engagement efforts. She provides strategic direction to the development of bespoke and collaborative engagements as well as research across themes impacting the food and agriculture sector including biodiversity, AMR, climate and dietary transitions. Jo also works closely with investor members to develop and integrate sustainable food systems as a key priority into stewardship strategies.
Prior to this, she was an Assistant-Manager at KPMG UK, advising investment managers on risk management as well as working cross-functionally with the Sustainability Team on climate change risk for private equity firms. Jo began her career with Alliance Trust as an analyst. Jo holds a first-class degree in BA (Hons) Geography from the University of Leeds and an MSc in Development Studies at SOAS, for which she was awarded a Distinction. She passed CFA Level 1 and holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).

Dr. Dai Yamawaki is an ESG Investment Manager at the Nomura Asset Management. His main role is to lead an ESG integration approach, providing in-depth ESG analysis for the Stock Selection Committees. Dai started his career at the UN FAO through the Young Professional Programme, where he supported the countries in Europe and Central Asia for their GEF and GCF responses. In 1994, after graduating from the French Business School EDC, Nicolas started his career in international business at the French Chamber of Commerce in South Korea. In 1997 he was appointed Export Manager for leading French seafood processor, Cité Marine. Coming from Brittany - the main fishing region in France - Nicolas had long been concerned by the increasing impact of fishing on the environment and on people’s livelihoods. This led him to join the MSC in 2002 as the manager for continental Europe. He later became the Regional Director of Europe in 2007 and in 2013 Global Commercial Director. Since 2018 Nicolas is Chief Program Officer and therefore member of the Marine Stewardship’s Executive Committee, responsible for the development and delivery of its global outreach program strategy.

Robert Blasiak is a researcher at the Stockholm Resilience Centre, where he focuses on aspects of international cooperation, the sustainable management of ocean resources, and ocean stewardship. He is Lead Scientist of the Keystone Dialogues Project in its current grant phase (2022-2025) and leading the collaboration across the scientific institutions as they engage with the SeaBOS member companies and secretariat. His recent research has dealt with marine biotechnology and the equitable use of marine genetic resources. He is a visiting researcher at the University of Tokyo, where he received his PhD in 2015. Born and raised in Mexico City in 1973 within a family of anthropologists. Trained as an oceanologist at UABC in Ensenada, Baja California, focusing studies in fisheries and aquaculture. Worked shortly implementing HACCP system in a Tuna and Sardines Cannery, also working in a research team developing diets for abalone farming. As an entrepreneur, started Comercializadora el Sargazo in 1997, a distributor of the best seafood from Mexico, selling goods mostly to hotels and restaurants within our country, working directly with fishermen and aqua farmers to develop domestic markets, focusing in communicating both, to producers and consumers, the importance of legality, environmental and social responsibility. Currently doing team work with an NGO to implementing FIPs in fishing communities while finding opportunities to improve quality of fish to access better markets and higher prices for the fishermen.
